John Mark is an American filmmaker, writer, producer and director who has been involved in music and film since childhood.
He has been recording and performing classical music, as well as working in feature film since 1976 in Paris, London, New York and Los Angeles. He is the author of theatrical screenplays such as "2045: Golden Voyage - A Space Odyssey", a sequel to Stanley Kubrick's classic "2001: A Space Odyssey", and "2010:The Year We Make Contact", "Deathblow – The Romanoff Empire", and "Liszt & Chopin In Paris" an iconic film about two piano gods in 19th century Europe. His genre includes science-fiction, historical drama and contemporary drama.
John Mark has studied film directing at Europe's finest film schools, Paris-IDHEC. as well as in the United States at NYU and cinematography at Maine Photographic Workshop (Rockport, Maine). He has also studied classical piano and composition with Prof. Nadia Boulanger at the Paris Conservatory and has recorded a 4-CD album as the preamble for his upcoming epic film available now and featuring recordings of the upcoming soundtrack.
