John Mark is an American filmmaker, writer, producer and director who has been involved in music and film since childhood.
He has been recording and performing classical music, as well as working in feature film since 1976 in Paris, London, New York and Los Angeles. He is the author of theatrical screenplays such as "2045: Golden Voyage - A Space Odyssey", a sequel to Stanley Kubrick's classic "2001: A Space Odyssey", and "2010:The Year We Make Contact", "Deathblow – The Romanoff Empire", and "Liszt & Chopin In Paris" an iconic film about two piano gods in 19th century Europe. His genre includes science-fiction, historical drama and contemporary drama.
John Mark has also recorded 4-CD preliminary soundtrack album for "Liszt & Chopin In Paris" in addition to writing the Script to select the perfect repertoire for this film now scheduled for production in 2020 and for subsequent worldwide release in 2022.
John Mark has studied classical piano and composition with Prof. Nadia Boulanger at the Paris Conservatory, feature film directing at IDHEC cinematography school (Paris), filmmaking, photography and non-linear editing at NYU (New York), Maine Photographic Workshop (Rockport, Maine) and the legendary Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia in Rome.
Mr. Mark has received numerous letters of recognition for his contributions to classical music and cinema in the upcoming LISZT & CHOPIN IN PARIS film.
